  • Job Description

    Assists the Catering Team to increase effectiveness by providing administrative assistance, information, and support to managers and Director of Catering

    Job Focus

    Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

    • Pick up banquet checks from Banquets – distribute to Catering Sales/Special Events
    • Check with all Catering Sales / Catering Managers daily
    • Distribute Event Orders electronically to all departments
    • File distributed Event Orders in Event Order Book by date and time Distribute Daily Events Report electronically
    • Print Daily Events Report for Property Executive Chef and copy all Event Orders for next day & drop off to Culinary Coordinator
    • Responsible for pulling daily, weekly and monthly reports
    • Receive Turnover of Sales Contract from Sales, create file, assign to Catering Sales Manager in Delphi and input  information into Catering calendar
    • Send Intro letter to client to include catering menus, AV pricing, and policies and procedures
    • Assist with amenity requests:
      • Write amenity cards
      • Work with IRD on special amenity orders
      • Talk with clients in regards to amenities and VIP request
      • Input in go con & deliver amenity cards to IRD
    • Assist with transportation requests:
      • Order limos, shuttles
      • Communicate with Front Services and confirm rides
      • Communicate with clients in regards to transportation arrangements
    • Merge  the resume shell for upcoming groups within 15 days of arrival for Catering Sales Manager (input general information from booking recap)
    • Pull group resumes and distribute electronically weekly to Hotel Ops
    • Attend Bi-Weekly Catering Meeting
    • Distribute banquet checks to Catering Sales Managers & Catering Manager to place in group file
    • File completed group files
    • Answer phone from catering line and direct inquiries accordingly
    • Answer manager’s phones when they away from their desk
    • Assist Catering Sales Manager & Catering Manager with VIP Services request for Clients:
      • Dinner reservations
      • Additional transportation
      • Special requests
      • Additional amenities
      • Spa
      • VIP Lounge
      • Front Desk / Front Services
    • Take credit card authorization forms up to accounting and dispose. 

    Desired Qualifications

    • Two (2) years of experience in catering/food and beverage
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
    • Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal forms
    • A professional demeanor and attire is to be maintained at all times
    • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to working independently with little to no supervision
    • Must be able to perform in a team environment
    • Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and leadership
    • Previous experience in a high-end luxury Gaming or Hospitality environment is desired
    • Must have exceptional time management skills
    • An intermediate to proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
    • Proven ability to resolve guest conflicts with ease or determine if management is needed in certain guest situations
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
