  • Job Description

    The Revenue Optimization Analyst is integral to the success of the property’s Revenue Management team. The position will be responsible for the preparation of revenue reports that will assist the Revenue Optimization leadership team in implementing the Hotel's yield strategies. In addition, the Revenue Analyst will be required to review and analyze external reports such STAR, LVCVA visitor studies, hotel Intelligence and other measurement tools and present revenue opportunities for the hotel.

    Job Focus

    Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

    • Responsible for the execution, development and maintenance of yielding and tracking models for the hotel inventory.
    • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly revenue reports. The reports include market segmentation analysis, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, preferred guest program analysis, etc.
    • Maintains appropriate status reports for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for established business metrics.
    • Executes processes and models to assist in maximizing the total profitability of room inventory through the manipulation of availability and market / channel mix based on the competitive environment.
    • Assists in performing displacement analysis of casino / transient guests against the contribution of Group Sales and other event blocks.
    • Collects competitive intelligence data for areas of responsibility. Participates in regular yielding discussion and ad hoc meetings for the purpose of reviewing event and hotel criteria with the corporate Marketing executive team and other key stakeholders.
    • Creates ad hoc models to assist department leadership achieve profit goals.
    • Assists with creating hotel budgets and forecasts for multiple business segments.
    • Measure, analyze and report out on booking trends, pickup, no shows, and sources of business.
    • Works closely with FP&A and other company analysts in an effort to achieve optimal TRevPOR (Total Revenue per Occupied Room).
    • Perform audits and maintenance on all systems such as PMS, CRS, RMS, and Sales & Catering Systems to ensure content and information is correct.
    • Maintain group pick-up reports and communicate with Sales regarding upcoming groups cut-offs.
    • Provide administrative support for the Revenue Management Team.
    • Analyze local events and activities and project the effect of opportunities they create.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Desired Qualifications

    • Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field. One year of experience as a Revenue Management Analyst, Financial Analyst, Marketing Analyst. In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, two years of revenue management experience may be considered.
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint are required.
    • Experience in using OPERA, ROS and Delphi systems.
    • Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure & high stress environment.
    • Ability to communicate in English clearly both verbally and in writing.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Exceptional with details and follow up.
    • Flexible and long hours may sometimes be required.
    • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
    • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
    • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
    • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
    • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
    • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
