  • Job Description

    As an integral part of the SLS Las Vegas marketing team this person is charged with creating and leading the integrated communications strategy for the property to support marketing goals and initiatives.

    Job Focus

    Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

    • Provides and executes strategic marketing and actions to create and maintain our brand presence in the market.
    • Providing functional leadership as well as strategic support for marketing team, executive leadership, internal customers and vendors, including agencies.
    • Lead a team of professionals with functional expertise including but not limited to Public Relations, Multi-Media, Graphic Design, Advertising, Special Events, Digital Marketing and Players Club.
    • Frequent communication with the operations team including F&B, retail, nightlife, HR, IT, other marketing areas and vendors.
    • Collaborate and align divisional strategies with property-wide strategies.
    • Driving revenue for the property in conjunction with other marketing areas.
    • Creates and monitors operating budget, financial management and takes action on budget variance.
    • Represents the property on any public event as directed by Management.
    • Devising or modifying procedures to solve process problems that will result in more efficient productivity and higher caliber product.
    • Assessing business objectives from operations teams and proposing marketing solutions to help achieve them.
    • Work closely with the casino marketing team on producing menus and tournaments to ensure success of all events. 
    • Assists and oversees the execution of all casino events and promotions.
    • Reviews contracts and proposals for all casino promotions and special events.
    • Coordinates tournaments, parties, and various property wide functions. Ensures the setup, event registration, and prizes are accurately completed.
    • Responsible for the execution of all direct mail projects.
    • Work with database marketing team on compiling direct mail and email lists.
    • Work with mail and print vendors on meeting deadlines for drop dates and delivery.
    • Assist and manages the direct mail proofing process to ensure accuracy and correct messaging.
    • Work with database marketing team to update matrices and ensure the accuracy of variable data.
    • Other job-related duties as assigned

    Desired Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
    • Five (5) or more years in progressive roles within a marketing function preferably in a casino environment.
    • Function in depth knowledge and understanding of Marketing and Direct Mail Strategies.
    • Proven expertise in the budgeting process, P&L and financial management of budgets.
    • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
    • Excellent communication skills, customer service and team oriented self-starter, and professional maturity
    • Team orientation, basic influence and conflict management skills, and effective consulting and strategic skills
    • Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills and exhibit composure and professionalism while under pressure
    • Management experience is preferred.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting constant deadlines and maintaining strong attention to details
    • Must be able to get a Nevada Gaming License
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
