Job Description

Responsible for the management of the staff and the graphics team, he/she is an organized and versatile designer that is able to manage and oversee a variety of advertising and design projects in multiple hotel/resort categories

Job Focus

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

  • Manage the development of advertising, marketing and general design projects for print and digital assets (including property signage and marquee)
  • Plan, design and create high-impact campaigns and collateral from concept to completion
  • Oversee the internal and external design resources to effectively manage and execute campaigns for multiple departments
  • Manage the workflow, trafficking and creative processes of the team to ensure design needs are met and brand standards maintained
  • Identify vendors and manage the production of materials
  • Strong project management skills – develops project plans, coordinates projects, communicates changes and progress and is able to complete projects on-time and within budget
  • Able to establish priorities and procedures for full scope of work produce by the team
  • Responsible for design and meeting deadlines for all projects on the marketing schedule
  • Design and review advertising and promotional artwork regarding print, collateral materials, billboards, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees as well as outside contacts
  • Ability to proof and edit publications for which responsible
  • Must be able to use computer-aided design software, preferably through creative cloud to develop motion graphics for various platforms such as marquees, plasmas, iviews (slot machine screens) and tv screens.
  • The Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and creating motion graphics elements and packages for content across all media platforms, including marquees, plasmas, iviews(slot machine screens) and tv screens.
  • Knowledge of Visiconn and Daktronics a plus
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Must be highly adaptable to changes within projects and work environment, and is able to change approach or method to best fit changing situations
  • Is a problem solver – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully and able to develop alternative solutions
  • Must have highly developed interpersonal skills, with an affinity for teamwork with in a small organization
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Art or Graphic Design
  • Five to Eight (5-8) years’ experience in design with an agency, in-house or as freelance
  • Demonstrate exceptional skills across the entire Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Advanced knowledge of typography rules and production specs and variables
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be equally comfortable in print and digital/interactive mediums
  • Able to handle multiple files, jobs and projects at once
  • Excellent communications skills, ability to interact with personalities from many departments
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
