Job Description

Internal Maintenance Attendant cleans and maintains designated area according to standards of cleanliness set by management to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment for our guests.  They adhere to all departmental and company policies/procedures and safety regulations. Maintain professional knowledge and practice on all equipment necessary to complete tasks assigned.

Job Focus

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

  • Continuously maintain the cleanliness “sanitization” of all restrooms and surfaces within all Entertainment and Pool areas.
  • General; Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, polish, strip, wax, extract, shampoo, spot clean of all assigned areas
  • Always uses the correct cleaning chemicals for designated areas/surfaces, according to OSHA and management requirements
  • Ensure all décor, furniture and fixtures are in their correct location at all times
  • Maintain the cleanliness of items such as trash cans, windows, doors and mirrors as well as elevators, floors, furniture, and fixtures
  • Regularly maintain the cleanliness of all Entertainment (front of house), spa, pool, and or any area assigned by management
  • Replenishes supplies in assigned areas as needed.
  • Handles and disposes of biohazard material in accordance with OSHA. (Training will be provided)
  • Regularly utilize extractor, power washer, scissor lift, ladders, side by side and maintain necessary certifications required for any equipment used.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and compliance with departmental policies, services, procedures and standards

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience within the Hospitality industry in a similar role or position in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel
  • Open availability
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including day, night, swing, weekends and Holidays
  • Proven ability as an outgoing, energetic and approachable employee.
  • Excellent communication skills with a willingness to assist any guest or fellow co-worker in need
  • Ability to communicate in English in both verbal and written forms is required
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Must have extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi task as necessary
  • Ability to follow through and carry out all assigned duties
  • Ability to operate a Scissor lift, extractor, power washer, side by side
  • Have detailed knowledge on use of chemicals and their functionality
  • Understanding how to cut and polish marble and other hard surfaces
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
